We remodeled two bathrooms in this Rockville Centre home. The first became a walk-in shower bath with a built-in bench, a recessed niche, two grab bars and a handheld shower. It is finished floor to ceiling in marble-look porcelain with a blue glass mosaic band. The second kept its tub and gained a floating navy vanity with under-cabinet lighting, a white tile wainscot and a sliding glass enclosure. Completed August 2026.

This bathroom is built around a curbed walk-in shower. The shower has a tiled bench with a marble-look slab top, a two-shelf niche lined in the same glass mosaic that runs around the room, and a hexagon mosaic floor. Two brushed nickel grab bars sit where you would reach for them getting in and sitting down. A fixed showerhead and a handheld on a hose share one valve, so the shower works standing or seated.
The sliding door runs on an exposed roller track, which saves the swing space a hinged door would need in a room this size. Outside the shower, a charcoal-navy vanity with a white quartz top sits under a three-light bar, with a matching wall cabinet over the toilet for storage.
This bathroom kept its tub and got a lighter, cleaner look. White marble-look tile runs as a wainscot around the room and full height around the tub, with light blue-gray paint above. The navy vanity is wall-mounted, and an LED strip underneath lights the floor. A sliding glass enclosure closes off the tub.
